Dangote Refinery Threatens Legal Action Over False Petrol Import Claims

Dangote Refinery issued a statement threatening legal action against those falsely claiming it imports petrol. The refinery, led by Chief Executive Officer David Bird, clarified that it imports intermediates for processing, not finished petroleum products.

The company plans to increase its export capacity and improve fuel quality in Nigeria. Board Chairman Robert Ad Odiachi revealed plans to boost monthly output and enter the export market.

The refinery aims to reduce Nigeria's reliance on high-sulfur petrol imports and ensure technical accuracy in public reports.
