Dangote Satisfied with Daughters, Not Seeking Male Heir

Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited, expressed satisfaction with his three daughters—Mariya, Halima, and Fatima—during an interview aired by Arise News on Tuesday. He stated that having a son to carry on his family name is not a priority, as he believes his daughters have already achieved what he would expect from a male heir.

Dangote emphasized the importance of accepting what God provides, stating, “You can pray for God to give you a son, but he might be the one to take down the name of the family.” He also confirmed an agreement to allocate one-third of his wealth to the Dangote Foundation after his death, a detail previously disclosed by his daughter Halima in July. Forbes estimates Dangote's fortune at $51.3 billion.

In addition, he offered advice to young people on building successful careers, urging them to remain focused and consistent in their endeavors.
