Dangote Sees Daughters Leading Future of Dangote Group

In an interview with ARISE News, billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote expressed confidence in the leadership potential of his daughters—Halima, Fatima, and Mariya—within the Dangote Group. He indicated that he has been observing their involvement in the family business and believes one of them could eventually take charge.

Dangote emphasized that their participation is driven by their own interest rather than pressure from him. He stated, “They are very interested in the business.

I’m not forcing them to come and be part of this business.” He acknowledged their education and capacity to build on his legacy, asserting that even if he had a son, he does not believe the son would outperform his daughters. Dangote also mentioned that his succession plans focus on establishing a professional management structure and strong corporate governance to ensure the company's sustainability, regardless of who leads in the future.
