Dangote Group Partners with Honeywell to Upgrade Lekki Refinery Capacity to 1.4mbpd by 2028

Dangote Group has entered a strategic partnership with Honeywell International Inc to double the capacity of its petroleum refinery in Lekki, Lagos to 1.4mbpd by 2028. The collaboration will leverage Honeywell's advanced services to process a wider range of crude grades efficiently, enhance product quality, and ensure operational reliability.

The refinery will also scale up its polypropylene production using Honeywell's Oleflex technology. Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited, highlighted that the expansion aligns with Nigeria's policies for cleaner fuel and energy security.

The refinery aims to generate over $55 billion in annual revenue, support local workforce development, and list a portion of its shares on the Nigerian Stock Exchange within a year. Once completed, Dangote's refinery will become one of the world's largest, surpassing India's Jamnagar refinery.
