Ogunmodede Linked to Kano Pillars Head Coach Position

Daniel Ogunmodede is reportedly a leading candidate for the vacant head coach position at Kano Pillars as the club prepares for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season. The four-time league champions are exploring options to strengthen their technical crew and have held preliminary talks with Ogunmodede.

He recently concluded a successful tenure at Remo Stars, where he guided the club to its first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League title during the 2024/25 campaign and led them to two CAF Champions League appearances. Ogunmodede has earned a reputation as a promising coach in the domestic league.

Additionally, former Super Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf has also been mentioned among those considered for the position. Ogunmodede remains an assistant coach under Super Eagles head coach Eric Chell, and his experience at the club and international levels is expected to enhance Kano Pillars' chances if appointed.
