Gbenga Daniel Denied Entry to Ogun East APC Meeting

Otunba Gbenga Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State, was prevented from entering a senatorial meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu Ode on an unspecified date. Daniel sought to enter the venue with a busload of supporters, which led to security personnel denying him access.

The meeting was significant as it involved crucial decisions regarding the Ogun East senatorial ticket, with current Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun also vying for the APC nomination for the upper chamber of the National Assembly. A viral video on Facebook captured the moment Daniel was barred from entering the Adeola Odutola Hall, where the meeting was held.

Daniel arrived at the venue at 10:00 AM but was not allowed to participate in the caucus meeting, which raised concerns about the legitimacy of the decisions made in his absence.
