Dapper Live Sets Guinness Record for Afrobeats Orchestra

Dapper Live has earned a Guinness World Record for assembling the largest orchestra ever for an Afrobeats concert, achieving this milestone on December 16, 2025, at the Balmor Eko Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The concert featured 80 orchestra members performing alongside several Afrobeat artists, including T Blaze, TML, Vibez, Bhadboi OML, Rybeena, Lasmid, Cazule, Kashcom, and Dwillsharmoni, with a guest appearance by Fuji musician Saheed Osupa.

The concert was conceived and executed by Damilola Dapper Akinwunmi, the Chief Executive Officer of Dapper Group, with music direction handled by Bazzman Sam and orchestral leadership by Clinton Fatola. The production team included Kelechi Chopper Aquari as creative director, Temitayo Tee as sound supervisor, and Dunni Akinwunmi as event director.

This achievement highlights the creative potential of African music and sets the stage for a planned tour across ten Nigerian states in 2026, with expansions into international markets including London, Birmingham, Dublin, Paris, and select cities in Canada.
