Datti Baba-Ahmed Rejects ADC Opposition Alliance, Reaffirms Loyalty to Peter Obi for 2027

Datti Baba-Ahmed has rejected the newly formed opposition alliance spearheaded by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and reaffirmed his loyalty to former Anambra State governor Peter Obi for the 2027 elections. The 2023 Labour Party candidate criticized the coalition for making false promises to rescue Nigeria from underdevelopment, calling it a deceptive move to mislead Nigerians.

Datti expressed his readiness to serve as Obi's running mate in the upcoming general election and emphasized his commitment to having Obi return to the Labour Party for the 2027 contest. He cautioned Obi against aligning with the ADC coalition, which includes prominent figures like Atiku Abubakar and David Mark.

Datti stated that his decision to accept another nomination would depend on the survival of Nigeria's electoral system, emphasizing his love for the country and his desire to restore it with the right individuals.
