Davido Responds to $50,000 Allegations in Livestream

During a livestream with content creators Carter Efe and Kolu, Nigerian singer Davido publicly addressed allegations stemming from a petition involving businessman Ifeoluwa Babalola. The petition, filed by Muse Ariyoh Bolaji Ariyoh, the proprietor of Loud by Mami Chula, accused both Davido and Babalola of conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretenses, specifically the sum of $50,000.

The allegations arose after a letter of invitation from the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon, Lagos, requested Davido to report for a fact-finding mission regarding the case. The petition claimed that on January 2, 2026, Babalola, identified as the Chief Executive Officer of Srappcode of Africa Nigeria Limited, approached Ariyoh, asserting he could secure Davido's performance for the nightclub's grand opening.

It further alleged that Babalola was responsible for publicity, billboard advertising, and managing other artists' participation, with the payment made for Davido's appearance and related promotional activities.
