Adeleke Prays Amid Alleged Vote Buying in Osun Election

In a viral video, Adeleke, the father of Afrobeats singer Davido, shared his reaction upon hearing about the alleged N50,000 being offered per vote by the opposition during the Osun State governorship election. He stated that after learning about the significant sums being spent, he retreated to his room, knelt down, and prayed to God.

His prayer was that voters would accept the bribes but still vote for his son, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who was declared the winner of the election, securing a second term in office. Adeleke emphasized that the victory was not due to greater financial resources but rather faith and divine intervention.

He mentioned that the opposition reportedly spent around 60 billion naira on the election. His strong belief in God, he stated, made him less concerned about seeking support from influential figures, preferring to rely on his faith.
