Davido Leads Youth Campaign for Adeleke's Re-election

On Tuesday, Davido inaugurated a 43-man youth committee named the Imol Youth Campaign Mobilization Team to drive the re-election campaign for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15. During the event, Davido announced a two-month break from his music career to concentrate on the campaign efforts.

He urged committee members to engage in door-to-door campaigns to promote the governor's achievements and connect with the community. The committee is structured with coordinators appointed across three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies, and 30 local government areas, with the Modakeke area office leading grassroots mobilization.

The campaign team includes Adeshina Kayod Olododo as vice chairman and Gbenga Idowu as secretary. Governor Adeleke is seeking re-election on the platform of the People's Democratic Party and faces challenges from Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress and Dr. Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress.
