Khadijat Abdulkadir Advocates for Women's Empowerment

Khadijat Abdulkadir, the founder of the Belgium-based social enterprise Digital African Women (DAW), called for increased access to skills, resources, and opportunities for women to ensure their full participation in the global economy. This call to action was made during the recent International Women's Day gathering held in Lagos, themed "Accelerate the Power of Rights and Justice." Abdulkadir highlighted that women's involvement is crucial for addressing global challenges in areas such as technology, governance, education, and finance.

She stated that no economy can grow without the contributions of women and that a truly digital future cannot exist if half of the world's population remains excluded. Over the past decade, revolutionary platforms have emerged to support women in navigating complex economic and social environments.

Abdulkadir shared stories of extraordinary resilience among women who have rebuilt their lives and pursued careers, despite being underrepresented in various fields.
