Daystar Power Installs 6.8MW Solar for Nestlé Facilities

Daystar Power Group has successfully installed 6.884 megawatts of solar power capacity across four Nestlé manufacturing facilities in West Africa, which includes sites in Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Senegal. This installation was disclosed in a statement on Sunday and is part of an ongoing energy partnership between Daystar Power Group and Nestlé.

The installation includes two facilities in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, with a total capacity of 3,447 kilowatts peak (kWp), a 2,547 kWp system at Nestlé's factory in Tema, Ghana, and an 890 kWp system at the company's facility in Dakar, Senegal. Yischai Beinisch, Chief Executive Officer of Daystar Power Group, stated that the installations reflect the company's growing relationship with food and beverage manufacturers.

Samer Chedid, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Central and West Africa Region, emphasized that the investment is part of the company's sustainability strategy, aiming to advance solar energy projects in Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal while contributing to a cleaner and more resilient future.
