PDP Faction Fires Caretaker Committee Led by Wike, Sparks Controversy

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) faction loyal to Nyesom Wike dismissed a factional caretaker committee in Abuja, causing internal strife. The decision was made at the 104th NEC meeting held on December 7, 2025.

The 13-member caretaker committee, chaired by Abdulrahman Moham and with Samuel Anyanwu as secretary, was inaugurated by Wike's loyalists. The move has led to a clash within the party, with reactions from PDP's national public secretary, Ini Ememobong, condemning Wike's actions.
