Nigeria's First Military Jetty to Boost Defense Logistics

The CEO of DICON-D7G, Osman Chennai, conducted an inspection of Nigeria's first military jetty located in Lagos, strategically positioned near Tin Island Port. This jetty, spanning approximately 60 square meters, is intended to enhance Nigeria's defense logistics and manufacturing capabilities.

The project is expected to significantly improve the defense logistics chain, enabling efficient importation of components and raw materials necessary for local assembly of military products. The jetty will support the production of small and medium arms, ammunition, tactical drones, and other military hardware.

The initiative aims to employ 2,000 retired military personnel and 5,000 skilled civilians, providing thousands of military-grade weapons and ammunition to the Nigerian Armed Forces and allied African nations. The project is scheduled for official launch in June 2026 and aligns with Nigeria's broader strategy for defense self-reliance, reducing dependence on foreign sources and enhancing local technological expertise.
