Defence Minister Musa Dismisses Resignation Rumors

On Monday, Defence Minister Christoph Gwabin Musa reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to strengthening Nigeria's security architecture. He addressed recent rumors suggesting he was considering resigning due to the country's security challenges, labeling these reports as falsehoods and the work of mischief-makers aiming to create unnecessary confusion among Nigerians.

Musa, through his spokesperson Leah Katung Babatunde Musa, stressed that he remains fully focused on delivering the Federal Government's security objectives. He noted that efforts to improve security across the country are ongoing, with the armed forces collaborating with security agencies to confront threats to national peace and stability.

Musa expressed appreciation for the continued support from Nigerians and assured citizens that the government is resolute in safeguarding the country. He urged the public to disregard resignation rumors and called on media organizations and social media users to exercise restraint and verify information before dissemination, emphasizing that spreading unverified reports undermines public confidence and distracts from ongoing security enhancement efforts.
