Transport Summit Reveals Challenges in Nigeria's Trade Logistics Infrastructure

At the 2025 Transport Summit organized by the Transport Correspondents Association of Nigeria (TCAN) in Lagos, delays and poor infrastructure were identified as major obstacles to Nigeria's trade logistics. Onwubuariri, who presented a goodwill message at the summit, highlighted the challenges faced in the transport sector, including insufficient road infrastructure and technology deployment along trade corridors.

He pointed out the long delays at border posts and the struggles of Nigerian truck drivers in transporting perishable goods to neighboring countries. The summit aimed to address these issues to improve the efficiency of transport logistics and enhance economic value chains.
