Ministers Prepare for 2024 Transport Summit on Economic Growth and Logistics

The Transport and Blue Economy Ministers are gearing up for the second edition of the Transport Summit, set to debut in 2024 as an annual platform for stakeholders in the transport sector. The theme for this year's summit is "Driving Transport Logistics Value Chains for Economic Growth." The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Kayode Opeifa, will deliver the keynote address.

Panel discussions will cover topics such as intermodal cargo evacuation at ports, the benefits and challenges of waterway transportation, and code enforcement issues. The event will feature representatives from various agencies and organizations, including the Nigerian Ports Authority, Nigerian Shippers Council, and Dangote Industries Limited.
