Dele Momodu Proposes Joint Ticket to Challenge Tinubu

Dele Momodu, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has named a potential joint ticket that could unseat Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. He suggested that a coalition involving Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, alongside notable southern politicians Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi, could significantly weaken Tinubu's political influence.

Momodu emphasized that Atiku's extensive political experience positions him as a strong contender against Tinubu, who is perceived to be running almost unopposed. He warned of a growing trend of defections from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he described as a serious threat to Nigeria's democracy.

Momodu characterized the current political landscape as tragic and cautioned against the dangers posed by the diminishing strength of the PDP, which could impact the opposition's ability to challenge the APC in the upcoming elections.
