Nwoko Camp Rejects Okowa's Victory in Delta APC Primary

The Ned Nwoko camp has publicly rejected the claim of victory made by former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa regarding the Delta APC senatorial primary held on May 18. Chris Okobah, the legal advisor for Nwoko's camp, alleged that the primary election was marred by widespread irregularities, intimidation, and manipulation of results.

Okobah described the electoral process as a "theatre of fraud," asserting that it did not meet democratic standards. The Nwoko camp claims to have independent monitoring evidence that shows overwhelming support for Nwoko among delegates, contrasting with the official results that they argue do not reflect the true outcome.

They further alleged that electoral officials failed to conduct proper accreditation and that results were prepared before voting commenced. The Nwoko camp is pursuing legal action and has indicated they possess video evidence and testimonies to support their claims.

They warn that unresolved grievances could weaken the APC's cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections.
