Delta Communities Threaten Shutdown of NEPL's Operations Over Funding Dispute

Delta communities in Isokoland hosting NEPL's operations in OML 26 are considering shutting down the oil company's activities for not funding the Host Community Development Trust (HCDT) as mandated by the Petroleum Industry Act of 2021. The stakeholders are displeased with NEPL's delay in implementing the Act, which requires the allocation of funds for community development.
