Tinubu's Commitment to Inclusive Nigeria on Democracy Day

During a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Information Minister Mohammed Idris emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to building a stronger and more inclusive Nigeria as part of the 2026 Democracy Day celebrations. This year's observance is particularly significant as it coincides with the third anniversary of Tinubu's administration, providing an opportunity for Nigerians to assess national progress and the impact of ongoing reforms.

Idris noted that the event serves as a moment to reflect on Nigeria's democratic journey and honor the sacrifices of patriots who fought for democratic governance, including late Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola. The Minister highlighted Nigeria's 27 years of uninterrupted democratic rule as a testament to the resilience and determination of the Nigerian people.
