Ooni Ogunwusi Urges FG to Intensify Fight Against Insecurity

On Democracy Day, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi called on the Federal Government to intensify its efforts in combating insecurity, specifically addressing issues such as banditry and kidnapping that threaten peace and development across Nigeria. In a statement issued on Friday by his Director of Media and Public Affairs, Moses Olafar, the traditional ruler acknowledged the ongoing security challenges in various parts of the country and urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of government efforts to tackle these issues.

He emphasized that no government would willingly allow insecurity to thrive within its territory and stressed that the safety of citizens is fundamental to national growth and stability. Ooni Ogunwusi also encouraged Nigerians to avoid divisive tendencies that could undermine national unity and to embrace peace and mutual respect.

He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting peace and dialogue, expressing optimism that Nigeria would emerge stronger despite its current challenges.
