Otuaro Praises Tinubu's Role in Niger Delta Development

On June 12, Denni Otuaro, the boss of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), commended President Bola Tinubu for his significant impact on the development of the Niger Delta during a statement marking Democracy Day. Otuaro described Tinubu's efforts to strengthen democratic institutions and enhance civic participation in governance, noting the positive outcomes for the Niger Delta region.

He highlighted that the current administration has provided dividends of democracy, including increased funding for scholarship and skill acquisition programs, benefiting 8,235 students through local and foreign scholarship schemes. Otuaro also referenced several federal projects aimed at regional development, such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the establishment of the Nigeria Maritime University in Okerenkoko.

He called for citizen support for security agencies to maintain peace and stability, emphasizing the importance of political support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. Otuaro paid tribute to the late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, recognizing his role in the struggle for democracy in Nigeria.
