Deputy Governor Urges Lagos Youth to Innovate for Change

On Thursday, during the Ibil Youth Academy 2025/2026 leadership summit held in Alausa, Lagos State, Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat encouraged the youth to take proactive steps in shaping their future. The summit's theme was "Potential Power: Equip Youth for Leadership Change." Hamzat emphasized that young people should move beyond merely identifying problems and instead become innovative change agents for growth and development in Lagos.

He called for a new contract between the older and younger generations, urging the former to invest trust in the latter. Hamzat highlighted the need for resilience, collaboration, and entrepreneurship among the youth, stating that these qualities are essential for effective leadership.

He stressed that the youth must understand the true power of leadership, which should be exercised for the common good, ensuring that Lagos remains a vibrant and opportunity-rich environment for future generations.
