Hamzat Positioned as Next Lagos Governor for 2027 Elections

Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has been tagged as the next gubernatorial candidate for Lagos State by James Faleke, a lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency.

Faleke called for support from stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party prepares for its primary elections next month. He emphasized the importance of backing Hamzat for the 2027 gubernatorial elections, which will extend through to 2035.

In a related development, former Lagos State governorship candidate Funso Doherti has declared his intention to contest in the 2027 gubernatorial elections under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This announcement was made during an ADC meeting where he expressed his commitment to mobilizing support for his candidacy.
