Oyewumi, Oladebo Win Accord Party Tickets for 2027 Elections

Lere Oyewumi, the Deputy Senate Minority Leader and current representative for Osun West Senatorial District, has emerged as the Accord Party's consensus candidate for the 2027 general elections. Olanrewaju Oladebo also secured the party's ticket for a second term in the National Assembly.

The primary elections took place in Ikir on Friday, attended by delegates from 10 local government areas within the Osun West Senatorial District. Oyewumi cited his various achievements during his first term as a reason for his re-election bid.

The primary elections were conducted under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission. Oyewumi expressed confidence in the party's ability to deliver votes in the upcoming elections, while Oladebo assured supporters of his commitment to their trust.

Additionally, Bamidel Salam emerged as the consensus candidate for the Accord Party in the North East South Egbedor Ejigbo Federal Constituency for the same elections.
