Bamidele Salam Wins Accord Ticket for 2027 Elections

Bamidele Salam secured the Accord Party ticket for the Ejigbo/Egbedore Federal Constituency in Osun State for the 2027 general elections, marking his third term bid in the House of Representatives. Salam, who was first elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023 under the People's Democratic Party (PDP), defected to the Accord Party following a leadership crisis that affected the PDP.

The primary election was supervised by Joseph Omorogbe, the Accord Party's national secretary, and attended by delegates from four local government areas within the constituency. Salam expressed his commitment to facilitating development projects and working collaboratively with other parliamentarians to create a workable security architecture in Nigeria.

He acknowledged the support of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and emphasized the need for legislative intervention to improve security and infrastructure in the constituency. Salam's focus remains on delivering on his mandate and addressing the security challenges facing Nigeria.
