Deputy Senate President to Upgrade BUK’s Stadium for NPFL

Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin has announced plans to upgrade Bayero University Kano (BUK) stadium to further commitment to sports development in the country. The stadium will be upgraded to host matches for Barau FC, a team founded by the Deputy Senate President that recently gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) from the Nigeria National League (NNL).

A delegation from the Deputy Senate President, including Chief of Staff Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdallah, met with BUK management led by Vice Chancellor Professor Haruna Musa to convey the good news. The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude for the decision to upgrade the facility, stating that it will benefit the university and the community.

The university is ready to support the initiative and make the project a success.
