NPFL: Deputy Senate President To Upgrade BUK’s Stadium

Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, has announced plans to upgrade Bayero University Kano's (BUK) stadium to further sports development in the country. The stadium will be upgraded to meet the standards required for Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matches.

Senator Barau's football club, Barau FC, recently gained promotion to the NPFL. A delegation led by the Chief of Staff, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdallah, and other officials met with BUK's management to convey the news.

The Vice Chancellor, Haruna Musa, expressed gratitude for the decision to upgrade the stadium, noting that it aligns with the university's goals. The university community is ready to support the project and host football matches successfully.

This initiative is seen as a significant step towards enhancing sports infrastructure in the region.
