ADC Vows to Appeal Court Ruling on 2027 Elections

Bolaji Abdullahi, the spokesman for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserted that the party will not be intimidated by political shenanigans after a ruling by Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja. The court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take immediate action concerning the participation of the ADC in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Abdullahi made this statement during an interview on Arise Television on Monday. He emphasized that the ADC will not succumb to what he described as a dictatorship or intimidation, reaffirming the party's commitment to the rule of law and the judiciary.

He noted that the ADC is accustomed to challenges and will continue to pursue its ambitions within the democratic framework of Nigeria. The party intends to appeal the ruling made on Tuesday morning, maintaining its stance against political obstacles.
