ADC's Deregistration Nullified: A Win for Democracy

Senator David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed his approval of the Court of Appeal's judgment that nullified the Federal High Court's earlier decision to deregister the ADC. In a statement released on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, Mark described the ruling as a significant victory for Nigeria's democracy, constitutionalism, and the rule of law.

He emphasized that the judgment restores confidence in the judiciary and affirms its role as a protector of democratic values. Mark condemned the attempt to deregister the ADC as an assault on multiparty democracy and a violation of citizens' rights to political participation.

He commended the Justices of the Court of Appeal for their impartiality and courage. Mark called on ADC members and supporters to remain united and focused on the party's mission for the 2027 general elections, reaffirming the ADC's commitment to democracy and good governance.
