Desmond Elliot, the lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has been spotted on a movie set after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election. Photos shared on social media show him with fellow Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta at a film location, engaging in conversation during production.

This development follows Elliot's defeat by Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who won the majority of votes in the APC primary contest, effectively ending Elliot's bid for another term in the Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections. Elliot, a three-term lawmaker, was previously a well-known actor in Nollywood before his political career.

His recent appearance has generated speculation about a possible return to acting, with many fans expressing enthusiasm about seeing him on screen again after focusing on legislative duties. However, Elliot has not confirmed whether this appearance indicates a full return to Nollywood.
