Obi and Kwankwaso Engage Kaduna Residents in Town Hall

Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), along with his running mate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, conducted a town hall meeting in Kaduna State. This event was part of their campaign efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting allowed residents to voice concerns on various issues, including insecurity, poverty, healthcare, education, corruption, fuel costs, and the overall state of the Nigerian economy. Obi stated that the engagement aimed to facilitate direct interaction between the party's presidential team and the citizens, contrasting with reliance on official reports.

Prior to the town hall, they visited the Sheikh Muhammad Sambo Memorial Islamic Institute in Rigachikun. Obi emphasized the importance of addressing insecurity to restore economic activities and improve living conditions, while also discussing the need for investment in healthcare and education.

The issue of fuel costs was highlighted, with Obi advocating for a reduction in the burden on Nigerians.
