Obi and Kwankwaso Strategize for NDC Campaign Launch

On Monday night, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and his running mate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, convened a strategic meeting with key party stakeholders in Abuja ahead of the official campaign kick-off for the 2027 elections. The closed-door session aimed to consolidate the party’s electoral machinery and harmonize campaign efforts across state and federal levels.

An official statement from the party's verified X (formerly Twitter) account indicated that discussions focused on tactical preparations and assessing the party's readiness for the upcoming electoral cycle. The leadership of the NDC emphasized the importance of a coordinated campaign approach, highlighting the need for synergy between the presidential bid and governorship campaigns to enhance the party's prospects across all ballot levels.

Notably, the meeting was attended by 25 gubernatorial candidates and included prominent party figures such as Buba Galadima, NDC State Chairmen Alhaji Mustapha Umar and Alhaji Bello Sani Yabo.
