Brittany Boltinhouse to Sue Over Miss NC Title Loss

Brittany Boltinhouse, the former Miss North Carolina USA, is preparing to take legal action against the pageant organizers following her dethronement amid allegations of “racism” and “homophobia.” Her attorney, Patrick Mincey, announced on Instagram that Boltinhouse was targeted due to her Christian faith and conservative political views. She lost her title just weeks before the Miss USA national competition, scheduled for August 24-27, and was replaced by runner-up Myla Hadley.

The Miss USA organization condemned “racism, homophobia, and transphobia,” citing “conduct” over an extended period that violated its policies, although specific details of the conduct were not disclosed. Thom Brodeur, chairman and CEO of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, stated that the organization does not tolerate any behavior that strips individuals of their dignity.

In an interview, Boltinhouse expressed that her title was “ripped” from her due to her beliefs and indicated that she signed a non-disclosure agreement, limiting her ability to share details. Mincey confirmed that his firm is investigating the circumstances surrounding her dethronement.
