DiamondHeart Opens Nominations for 2026 Humanitarian Awards

The DiamondHeart Initiative has announced the opening of nominations for the 2026 Humanitarian Service Awards, aimed at recognizing individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to humanitarian services and philanthropy in Nigeria. The awards, established to commemorate World Humanitarian Day, will honor those whose selfless commitment has transformed lives and strengthened communities.

The theme for the 2026 awards is "Celebrating the Power of Service to Transform Leadership," with a sub-theme focusing on inspiring citizens to elect leaders characterized by service and transformative vision. Nominations will be accepted from June 8, 2026, until July 12, 2026.

The awards ceremony is expected to attract diplomats, government officials, traditional and religious leaders, and various stakeholders in the humanitarian sector. The initiative encourages nominations from a wide range of sectors, including public office holders, civil society organizations, and educational institutions, to recognize outstanding contributions to humanitarian service.
