APC Accused of Judicial Manipulation to Block Obi

The Obidient Movement, led by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of manipulating the judiciary to keep Peter Obi off the ballot for the 2027 presidential election.

This allegation follows a recent court judgment that deregistered the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), which the movement claims is part of a broader strategy to prevent Obi from participating in the upcoming elections. Tanko described the judgment as politically motivated and criticized the judiciary for allegedly compromising its independence by aligning with the APC-led administration.

He warned that continued judicial interference in political matters could erode public confidence in the courts and undermine democratic governance. The Obidient Movement urged supporters to remain calm and focused despite these challenges, asserting that they would defend democracy and judicial independence.

Tanko expressed confidence that Obi and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso would be on the ballot and could defeat the APC in the 2027 elections.
