Dickson Defends NDC Registration Amid Allegations

Seriake Dickson, the leader of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and former governor of Bayelsa State, has defended the party's registration process amidst allegations of irregularities. Dickson stated that the NDC's registration process dates back to 2017 and was approved by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He dismissed claims made by Umar Ardo, who convened the League of Northern Democrats, that the NDC was unlawfully registered without meeting constitutional requirements. Dickson emphasized that the party followed due process and warned against misinformation that could distract from the NDC's political ambitions.

He highlighted the party's focus on building a strong ideological platform and its commitment to youth and women's inclusion. Dickson called on Nigerians to join the NDC and participate actively in the upcoming elections, aiming to reclaim and rebuild the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
