Dickson Acknowledges Irregularities in NDC Primaries

Seriake Dickson, the national leader of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and former governor of Bayelsa State, admitted to irregularities in the recently concluded NDC primaries. In an interview with Arise TV, he expressed sympathy for aggrieved aspirants and acknowledged that the primary exercise was not flawless.

Dickson urged party members to remain patient as the NDC navigates challenges associated with its rapid growth. He noted that complaints regarding the primaries are not unique to the NDC, as larger political parties face similar issues.

Dickson emphasized that the NDC has not yet announced any winners from the primaries and dismissed claims circulating on social media about pre-determined outcomes. He assured members that a reconciliatory mechanism is in place to address grievances and that future primaries will incorporate technology to improve the process.

Dickson called on party members to support the NDC's candidates in upcoming elections and to participate actively in the reconciliation process.
