Fyneman Wilson Defects to APC from NDC After Court Ruling

Fyneman Wilson, a former political adviser to ex-Governor Seriak Dickson of Bayelsa State, announced his resignation from the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDC) on Monday, following a court ruling that deregistered the party. The decision to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) was made during a ceremony held at the Golden Tulip Government House in Onopa.

Wilson criticized the NDC for its lack of internal democracy, describing it as a "one-man show" with no clear future. His defection was supported by a significant number of NDC members from Dickson's hometown of Toru Orua in Sagbama Local Government Area, who also joined the APC.

The event was attended by notable APC leaders, including Deputy Governor Peter Akp and former Deputy Governor Peremobowei Ebebi. The NDC's state leadership, represented by Mac Ak, acknowledged the defections but maintained that the party continues to enjoy massive support in the area.
