Dickson and Kwankwasiyya Leaders Meet to Resolve NDC Crisis

On Monday night, Seriak Dickson, the leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), held a closed-door meeting with leaders of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, including Hussaini Mairiga and Kwankwaso, to resolve ongoing issues within the party in Kano State. The meeting aimed to address friction related to the Kwankwasiyya Movement's legacy within the NDC and to promote unity among members ahead of the upcoming electoral process.

Dickson reiterated the party's commitment to internal democracy and a transparent candidate selection process. The NDC leadership emphasized that it would not impose candidates in Kano State or across the nation, stressing the importance of consensus and member confidence.

The meeting lasted an hour and was described as highly productive, focusing on finding common ground among aggrieved party members. Additionally, the NDC dismissed claims of internal turmoil and urged members to disregard unauthorized lists of purported primary election results, clarifying that no official results had been released.
