Ikeja Electric has informed customers about a maintenance exercise at the Oworo 3 x 15 MVA Injection Substation, which commenced on Monday, August 24, and is expected to conclude on Thursday, September 3, 2026. The maintenance involves the replacement of panels at the substation, aimed at enhancing the stability and reliability of power delivery to the communities served by the facility.

A public notice was issued to alert residents in the affected areas about potential temporary disruptions to their electricity supply during the maintenance period. While the company did not specify which areas would be directly impacted, it emphasized the importance of community vigilance against vandalism of electricity infrastructure to ensure a reliable power supply.

Power restoration to the affected areas is anticipated to resume following the completion of the panel replacement work, contingent upon adherence to the maintenance timeline.
