DJ Chicken Granted N1m Bail Over Threat to Seyi Tinubu

DJ Chicken, whose real name is Ademola Abiodun, was arraigned on Friday at the Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos, facing three counts of charges related to allegedly threatening the life of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu. The charges include making threats to kill, transmitting grossly offensive messages via a computer network, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

These allegations stem from a viral video where DJ Chicken made comments interpreted as threats against Seyi Tinubu. Following public backlash, he attempted to retract his statements, claiming they were intended as a joke.

Despite this, the Lagos State Government proceeded with criminal charges against him. DJ Chicken pleaded not guilty to all charges, and Magistrate M.F.

Onamusi granted him bail of N1 million with two sureties. The case is set to resume on August 3, 2026.

His lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, confirmed the bail and expressed gratitude for the court's decision.
