Gunmen Abduct Three Students from Federal University Lafia

On the night of the incident, around 9:21 PM, gunmen abducted three students from the Federal University Lafia while they were in their off-campus hostel. The assailants gained entry by knocking on the door of the students' residence.

Following the abduction, the Nigerian Police Force, under the command of CP Shetima Jauro, initiated an intensive manhunt for the kidnappers. Tactical teams were deployed to patrol the area and coordinate search and rescue operations, particularly focusing on the surrounding forest.

The police noted that the area is often exploited for kidnappings due to its proximity to high-tension power lines and bush paths. They advised students against renting isolated accommodations, emphasizing the importance of living together for safety.

Efforts to rescue the remaining two victims are ongoing, with the police committed to ensuring their safe release.
