Donald Duke Joins ADC After Leaving PDP, Aligns with Atiku and Obi

Former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke has officially left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Nigeria. This move marks Duke's second defection, having previously left the PDP for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Duke's decision to join the ADC comes amidst a wave of defections, with prominent politicians like Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, and Peter Obi also defecting to the party. The ADC leadership in Bakassi Local Government Area is urging Nigerians to see the party as a credible platform for transforming Nigeria.

In a statement signed by Emmanuel Asuquo, the Bakassi chapter chairman, and Eko Boco, the secretary, the party emphasized its loyalty to the national leadership and called for a reclaiming of the country from what they described as misrule. The ADC is positioning itself as a viable alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria.
