Trump to Attend NBA Finals Game at Madison Square Garden

Donald Trump has accepted an invitation to attend an NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden in New York next week, following an invitation from New York Knicks owner James Dolan. Trump indicated he would attend either the third or possibly the fourth game, depending on availability.

This appearance will mark Trump's first attendance at a Knicks NBA Finals game since 1999, when the Knicks led the series against the San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks currently hold a 12-0 record in the playoffs.

Trump acknowledged the Knicks' efforts in building a championship roster, mentioning the talent of player Victor Wembanyama. The NBA Commissioner’s office has welcomed Trump's attendance, noting that it will be the first time in history a sitting president attends the NBA Finals.

Security measures are expected to be heightened during the trip due to the president's presence, as the Knicks aim to secure their first NBA title since 1973.
