Wike Urges PDP Members to Fearlessly Contest 2027 Elections

Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State, addressed members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during the 107th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja. He urged party members to contest for various electoral positions in the 2027 elections, assuring them not to be afraid of potential losses.

Wike emphasized that the absence of a PDP governor in the state should not deter members from participating in the electoral process. He expressed confidence that the outcome of the elections would not be influenced by current situations.

Wike also announced that the PDP plans to hold its national convention on March 29-30, 2026, and encouraged members who had previously left the party to return and engage in a reconciliation process. He called on the party leadership to ensure that these members are welcomed back and emphasized the importance of sincerity in the electoral process.
