Don’t Blame Tinubu, APC For Osun LG Funds – Omisore Tells Adeleke Govt

Former Osun State Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore, defended the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Bola Tinubu against blame for the local government funds crisis in Osun State. In an appearance on Arise Television, Omisore criticized the Adeleke government for politicizing the issue.

He highlighted the strike by members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) as the main problem affecting the state. Omisore urged stakeholders, including the Nigerian Bar Association, to address the issue holistically rather than misrepresenting facts.

He refuted claims that Tinubu was withholding funds for political reasons, emphasizing that the matter was primarily administrative and not political. Omisore called for a focus on resolving the autonomy and funding issues to end the strike and improve local government operations in Osun State.
