Shehu Sani Warns Against Blaming Tinubu for NDC Crisis

Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has advised Nigerians not to attribute the internal challenges of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) to President Bola Tinubu. His comments come amid growing concerns regarding the NDC's legitimacy, particularly after Peter Obi's merger with Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Dr. Umar Ardo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from Adamawa State, highlighted in a recent online interview that a legal battle is underway concerning the NDC's registration, arguing that it does not meet the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) standards.

Sani used a marriage metaphor to describe the political situation, likening the merger to a high-profile divorce that could lead to friction. He emphasized that the opposition must not blame the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for their self-inflicted challenges and warned that abrupt political separations could lead to anger and pain.
